Hindi is one of the most widely spoken languages of the world after English and Mandarin. In terms of linguistic diversity, Hindi is the fourth most spoken language in the world, after English, Mandarin and Spanish. Hindi is also a direct descendant of an early form of Vedic Sanskrit.
Scope
Today's generation gives more importance to English language and less importance to Hindi language. Hindi Divas is celebrated every year across the country to stop the neglect of Hindi. Hindi is one of the widely spoken languages of India and a day has been dedicated to honor it which is known as Hindi Divas. Explain that due to the efforts of Bohar Rajendra Simha and others, Hindi was adopted as one of the two official languages of the Republic of India by the Constituent Assembly of India in 1949. Because of which it was announced to celebrate Hindi Divas every year on the occasion of Bohar Rajendra Simha's birthday.
What is World Hindi Day?
To mark the anniversary of the first World Hindi Conference held in 1975, World Hindi Day is observed annually on 10 January. The first World Hindi Conference was inaugurated by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Various countries such as Mauritius, United Kingdom, Trinidad and Tobago, United States of America have organized World Hindi Conference since 1975. World Hindi Day was celebrated for the first time on 10 January 2006 by former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and since then 10 January is celebrated as a special day to promote it as a global language.
How is National Hindi Day different from World Hindi Day?
