Greetings from:

* ⚜️Harihar Fort⚜️ *
Harihar Fort is a fort located not far from Trimbakeshwar near Nashik in Maharashtra. It is true to say that it is a terrible fort. All the trekking I have seen so far is short. If you want to get a real adventure experience, go to Harihar Fort itself. It is better to go only for those who are nervous.
Although not a bustling tourist destination, it is a favorite destination of adventure travelers. This is a great experience for those who specialize in mountaineering. Simply put, the mission is to climb a mountain with an eighty degree slope. Hanging on to a mountain can be a daunting task. It is better not to go out for this unless you have good athleticism.
* History *
Harihar Fort was built during the reign of the Sevuna dynasty in the 13th century. The fort is located at an elevation of 3676 ft above sea level. The main goal was to defend against enemy attacks. It was designed in such a way that it could not be quickly invaded by enemy forces.

This can be seen by looking at the narrow and steep stairs here. The fort had to be surrendered to King Khan Samam in 1636. Along with this, the forts of Trimbak and the forts of Pune had to be given. Later, in 1818, Captain Briggs captured 17 other forts, including Harihar. Today only a small part of the fort survives.
* Scary path *
The road to Harihar Fort itself is very difficult. You have to walk through deserted village roads to reach here. The route from Nashik to Trimbakeshwar is to be taken. The destination is located at a distance of 36 km from Trimbakeshwar. Trimbakeshwar is named after the famous Trimbakeshwar Temple.
It is famous for its Jyotirlinga idol of Lord Shiva. The first place to reach is Harshewadi, a village located at a distance of 13 km. It is a desolate village inhabited by tribals. You can not even see a small attic except for the small huts here and there. Occasionally I saw people along the way. There will be no one to even ask for directions.
You can get a rickshaw from Trimbakeshwar and get on it. There are broken roads leading to it. There are many ups and downs. The rickshaw will reach Harihar Fort on the way. From there you have to walk backwards.
That too in a weighty way. One has to walk through the village inhabited by the tribals towards Harihar Fort. If you are lucky along the way you will get something to drink or eat. In front of the huts you can see people selling goods. You can buy lemonade and biscuits here. It is also a source of income for the villagers.
* Climb up holding your breath *
At first it did not seem like a big surprise when we started climbing into the fort. It is often mistaken for a climb. Then the climb will be steep. And the width of the stairs is reduced. When you go up the stairs, you will reach the gate of the fort. It is built in the shape of a minaret. Now comes the real thrill.
You no longer have to walk through a tunnel made of rock. Do not expect to be able to walk upright. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. From here, you can see the stairs that are reminiscent of a steep ladder. Step up the winding stairs and back up again.
Be careful as it has a good slope. The steps lead up to the plains of the fort. There is a rectangular reservoir of water. It is built to store fresh water. The real adventure is yet to come.
Climb to the highest rock of the fort. Those who are less anxious can stop here and return to enjoy the beauty of the valleys. For those whose adventure is soaked in blood, climb up, not up. If there had been stairs to climb the mountain for so long, it would not be there anymore.
You have to hang on to the rock to climb to the top. People with low athletic ability may not be able to do this. The hand needs good strength. Many people reach this stage and retreat. Hold your breath and hold on to the rock and climb to the top. Looking back, you can see the abyss. The view from the top is breathtaking.
From there you can see the nearby Alwand Dam and the acres of farmland. Do not think that going back up the hill is trivial. Steep descents can also be difficult to climb.
Those who are not in the habit of climbing are advised not to resort to this as there are no adequate safety measures in place. However, do not miss the Harihar Fort. The ruined fort and the rural roads leading to it offer a unique experience. It will be a handful of good experiences that will never be forgotten in life.
* How to Reach *
Take a bus from Nashik in Maharashtra to Trivandrum. Arrive at Trimbareshwar in the evening and stay there. Rooms are available. You can leave for Harahar Fort the next morning. You have to travel 13 km by rickshaw.
You can get off the rickshaw and walk towards Harihar Fort. After the trek, you have to reach Trimbakeshwar in the evening. It is difficult to get a bus to Nashik after dusk
Happy day dears! Thank you!
