Today we remember two great scientists:
Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. Both Einstein (1879–1955) and Hawking (1942–2018) lived for 76 years, during which they enriched us with incredible knowledge that continues to dazzle scientists to this day. Today also marks the 34rd anniversary of the Pi Day celebration, which was first proposed by physicist Larry Shaw in 1988.
Some Facts You May Not Know About the Great Albert Einstein
🔸 Before he was 15, he had mastered differential and integral calculus.
🔸 While he was a clerk at a patent office, Einstein wrote four articles that introduced his famous equation E=mc2 and the theory of special relativity.
🔸 Einstein loved playing violin and said that if he had not gone into physics, he likely would have become a musician.
🔸 His brain was stolen by the pathologist on call immediately after his death in Princeton Hospital.
🔸 Today, March 14, is his birthday. He could have been 142 years old.
Did you know? In 1896 Albert Einstein has renounced his German citizenship. He was not a citizen of any country until 1901 when he became a citizen of Switzerland.
Considered by many to be the greatest scientist of the twentieth century, Albert Einstein revolutionized scientific thought with new theories of space, time, mass, motion, and gravitation that launched Modern physics as a household name.
Once Albert Einstein wrote on a chalkboard:
9 x 1 = 9
9 x 2 = 18
9 x 3 = 27
9 x 4 = 36
9 x 5 = 45
9 x 6 = 54
9 x 7 = 63
9 x 8 = 72
9 x 9 = 81
9 x 10 = 91
Suddenly chaos erupted in the classroom because Einstein made a mistake. Obviously, the correct answer to 9 × 10 isn’t 91. And all his students ridiculed him.
Einstein waited for everyone to be silent and said:
“Despite the fact that I analyzed nine problems correctly, no one congratulated me. But when I made one mistake, everyone started laughing. This means that even if a person is successful, society will notice his slightest mistake. And they'll like that. So don't let criticism destroy your dreams. The only person who never makes a mistake is someone who does nothing."
Remembering, the brilliant brain on his 143rd Birthday Anniversary.
Also this year marks the 100th anniversary of AlbertEinstein's NobelPrize in Physics. He actually won the award in 1921 but received one year later.
I think 99 times and find nothing. I stop thinking, swim in silences and the truth comes to me. - Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein has said –“Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.”
Happy birthday, Dearest Albert!
